Each mod cosmetically alters or gives alternatives within the game without providing advantages or adding new items into the game. All of these mods require Forge in order to work. FORGE MODS Optifine Optifine is a very popular mod that is used to deliver performance enhancements and shaders to the game, it is ideal that a majority of users have this mod installed as regardless you will see a performance benefit. Website: Optifine
Xaeros Minimap Fair Play Edition Xaeros Minimap is a minimap mod that displays a small map upon your screen, the version in particular is the fair-play version which is known to be multiplayer friendly. Website: Curseforge
Xaeros World Map With this mod, the user can open a world map of the current world they are in, and view where they have travelled. This is ideal for exploring large areas and highly recommended if you download Xaeros Minimap. Website: Curseforge
Better Animal Models This mod aims to make most animals look more realistic, by altering their appearance to have more detailed models that can be compared to what entities look like in real life. This mod is ideal for those who are looking to improve the visual appearance of vanilla minecraft without removing the "vanilla" feel to the game. Website: Curseforge
First-person Model This mod aims to change the first person model to what it were to look like based upon the third person model. This mod is ideal for those who want a more realistic first person model, rather than just the typical vanilla arm model. This mod can also be toggled in game pressing F6 which will allow you to go from the modded model to the vanilla one. Website: Curseforge
Dynamic Surroundings The dynamic surroundings mod changes the sounds within the game, such as various new biome sounds, which alter per biome, nether sounds and cave sounds! It also changes sounds such as movement depending on which block you are walking on. Alternatives of this mod are also allowed on famallama, such as Ambient Sounds as they only alter sounds within the game. (be aware that ambient sounds requires CreativeCore in order to function. ToroHealth (Damage Indicators) ToroHealth is a damage indicator mod, which reveals the amount of health points an entity has on the top left of the screen. Alternatives of this mod are also allowed, due to only revealing a mobs health. Website: Curseforge Shatter This mod changes the visual appearance of mob deaths, rather than turning into clouds, the mobs shatter and float away into nothingness. ItemPhysic Lite This is a mod that changes the drop physics of items. Rather than the items just floating when dropped, they take a realistic approach by being flat on the ground, when being dropped, and when on the floor. This mod is ideal for those who want to get rid the strange physics that vanilla minecraft offers. The lite version is only recommend as the full version has to be installed onto the server in order to work, which would mean altering the server to a modded server, rather than having the mod be client-side. BackTools As said in the name, this allows the user to see one of their tools on their back when in third-person, this mod is purely cosmetic but is ideal for those who are after a mod that makes the game a bit more realistic. Inventory Tweaks Renewed This mod adds a variety of adjustments to the inventory, such as a button used to sort your inventory automatically, the mod also provides the function of refilling your building blocks from your inventory. Just Enough Items (JEI) JEI is a mod that displays the full library of items and their recipes within the inventory menu, for example when hovering over one of the items and pressing "R" will reveal the recipe (items required) to create the item. Website: Curseforge
More Overlays Updated This mod adds extra overlays such as those from the original NEI mod. For example you can view chunk boundaries, as well as light levels. This mod is ideal for those who are after the perfect lighting in their base as they can view which blocks are being lit up and what ones are not. Name Pain This mod aims to recolour name plates of both players and mobs in relation to their health, this also works with pets, the colours can be configured via the mod options menu, allowing a variety of customisation rather than the boring name tags that are in vanilla minecraft Website: Curseforge
Physics Mod This mod aims to alter block and entity physics of minecraft. For example when breaking a block ingame with this mod enabled, it will shatter into small pieces and you will receive the block, the same also applies to entities where they will just crumble rather than turning into a cloud. Website: Curseforge Precise Block Placing This mod aims to fix the issue of rapid block placing, when building fast users tend to miss blocks, this is due to minecrafts block placing being relatively slow (operates at 4 ticks per second), this mod will allow users to consecutively place blocks without missing any spaces.
